NHL Travels Overseas 5th Time To Start 2011-12 Season
The NHL will be playing in 4 regular season games in three European capitals, Berlin, Stockholm, and Helsinki to begin the 2011-12 season. The NHL games will feature the New York Rangers, Los Angels Kings, Anaheim Ducks, and Buffalo Sabres. These games will take place October 7-8. It will start with the Ducks taking on the Sabres Friday October 7 at the Harwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland and the Rangers and Kings at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm. On Saturday, Octbober 8, the Sabres and Kings play at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany and the Rangers vs. Ducks in Stockholm. In addition to the NHL games, the Ducks will face off in a special exhibition game against the Jokerit hockey club of the SM-Liiga.
If you’re thinking about going to any of these games, I recommend you look for tickets ahead of time. I tried to see a Jokerit game back in 2004 and it was sold out. Not one person was scalping tickets so we didn’t have any luck getting into that game.
Tickets for the two games in Stockholm will be on sale starting Thursday, April 14. More information on tickets is available here: http://www.ticnet.se.
Tickets for the game in Berlin will go on sale Friday, April 15. More information is available here: http://www.o2world.com/nhl. Ticket information for Read More…

Sunday NHL Plays Of The Day
Yesterday was the final day of the regular season. It came down to the wire in the Western Conference for the 8th playoff spot. Chicago could have clinched the final playoff spot, but lost to the Red Wings in regulation. This left Dallas with an opportunity to move on if they won in regulation or OT. They looked pretty good until the 3rd when they allowed Minnesota to get the go ahead goal and win the game allowing Chicago to clinch the final playoff berth for the west.
Take a look at the video and leave any comments below.
